Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

Welcome to Diffusion.Au ("we", "us", "our"). We are a strategic consultancy company based in Australia. This Privacy Policy is designed to inform you about how we collect, use, and protect your personal information. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting it in compliance with Australian privacy laws.

2. What Information Do We Collect?

We may collect the following types of personal information:

  • Contact details such as name, email address, postal address, and telephone number.
  • Professional information such as job titles, previous roles, and professional experience and qualifications.
  • Details of your visits to our website and the resources that you access.
  • Any other information you choose to provide to us.

3. How Do We Use Your Information?

We use your information to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve our services.
  • Respond to your queries or requests.
  • Send you updates and promotional materials that you have agreed to receive. You may opt out of receiving marketing communications from us by using the unsubscribe link within each email, or by contacting us to have your contact information removed from our direct marketing list.
  • Fulfil any other purpose for which you provide the information.

Please note that even if you opt out of receiving marketing communications, we may still send you non-promotional communications, such as those about your account or our ongoing business relations.

4. Disclosure of Your Information

We may share your personal information with:

  • Service providers and business partners who we use to support our business and who are bound by contractual obligations to keep personal information confidential and use it only for the purposes for which we disclose it to them.
  • Other entities for the purposes of direct marketing, but only if you have expressly permitted us to do so.
  • Any other party with your consent.

5. Analytics & Third-Party Services

We use three third-party services to help us understand how people use our website and to deliver updates you have asked to receive:

  • PostHog — a privacy-focused product analytics tool, hosted in the European Union. We use PostHog to measure aggregate site traffic, understand which pages are most useful, and diagnose technical problems. Anonymous visitors are counted in aggregate only. If you submit one of our forms, your email address is linked to your subsequent visits so we can understand who is reading our research. You can opt out of this tracking at any time by enabling “Do Not Track” or a privacy extension in your browser.
  • Google Analytics — Google’s web analytics service. We use it for the same purpose as PostHog: measuring aggregate traffic and seeing which pages are most useful. It sets a first-party cookie (_ga) to tell repeat visits apart, and processes data on Google’s infrastructure, which may include servers outside the UK and EU, including the United States. We have turned off Google Signals and advertising personalisation, so your data is not used to build advertising profiles or to track you across other websites. You can opt out by enabling “Do Not Track” or a privacy extension in your browser.
  • Kit (ConvertKit) — an email marketing platform. When you submit a form, your name and email are sent to Kit so we can deliver welcome materials and, if you have opted in, occasional updates from Diffusion. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in every email.

We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking, or session replay tools. Form submissions are also stored in Netlify Forms (our hosting provider) as a reliability backstop.

6. Security

We use reasonable administrative, logical, physical and managerial measures to safeguard your personal information against loss, theft and unauthorised access, use and modification. Unfortunately, no measures can be guaranteed to provide 100% security. Accordingly, we cannot guarantee the security of your information.

7. Retention of Personal Information

We will retain your personal information for the period necessary to fulfil the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy unless a longer retention period is required or permitted by law.

8. Access to Your Personal Information

You have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you. You also have the right to request that we correct any inaccurate personal information we hold about you.

9. Changes to Our Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to amend this Privacy Policy at our discretion. Any changes we may make will be posted on this page, and if significant, we will notify you by email.
